Today is Father's Day around the world for those who wish you celebrate such things, and I chose to. I have tried to make this a wonderful Father's Day for my beloved, as I know that you did for yours.

Te Echo de Menos Day

What is the definition of a "Te Echo de Menos" day? For me....it means a day when things are going really bad and or just plain melancholy. When I first happened upon Chayanne, which I am happy to say is one year as of this month, I fell in love with this song.....I had heard it quite a few times...you know how it is....set the iPod to "repeat play list" until you know all the songs on a CD by heart.....don't be shy you know what I mean......well, on this day I was feeling really blue, life just wasn't good that day, and this song took on a whole new meaning. Te Echo de Menos was released on Chayanne's "Cautivo" release in September of 2005. For those of you who don't speak Spanish, the title simply means "I Miss You So Much". Sounds simple right, even basic....but the way that Chayanne sings these lyrics is so heart-felt and full of passion, and longing, that the very sound of his voice singing these simple words was like a cleansing rain, washing all of the bad feelings away. So now...when I feel blue...I call it a "Te Echo de Menos" day.
